DOMESTIC VIOLENCE PROJECT, INC.Canton, Ohio Founded in 1978, Domestic Violence Project, Inc. has been leading the way in providing a strong, comprehensive safety net for victims of domestic violence and their families. We offer safe shelter, counseling and case management services for victims of domestic violence, as well as alcohol and drug treatment. Legal guidance and community education round out the valuable services we provide. We are searching for an Executive Director who will lead our well educated and tenured staff to the next level of agency performance through active involvement in the corporate and government community. We are a highly respected agency, and the successful candidate will be dedicated to maintaining the excellent quality of services we provide, as well as raising awareness to build the network of community members we serve. RESPONSIBILITIES: The CEO/Executive Director is responsible for all aspects of the organization, with special emphasis on evaluation, integration and execution of ideas and plans which are relevant to the mission and services of the agency and to the community. The position requires demonstrated abilities in organizational management, leadership, and community networking to ensure integration of the contributions of board, staff, and volunteers for optimal agency performance. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: -Develop and administer all program activities of the agency in accordance with its stated purpose or mission within the general policies as formulated by the Board of Trustees. -Supervise and monitor agency operations. -Provide information and leadership to the Board of Trustees to help keep them abreast of changing community needs. -Provide overall direction and leadership of programs and services. -Develop and maintain professional standards of practice in the agency. -Serve as an ex officio member of all committees of the Board of Trustees. -Promote the agency and its programs and services to the community. -Develop and implement a staff development plan and encourage staff to take advantage of learning opportunities. -Recruit and hire staff based on staffing need approved by the Board of Trustees. -Evaluate, promote, and when necessary, discharge staff members. -Develop and administer sound human resource practices. -Oversee the management of agency property. -Coordinate, in conjunction with CFO and Finance Committee, agency budget for approval by the Board of Trustees and plan with them the presentation of budget to funding bodies. -Coordinate development and fund raising activities in conjunction with staff and Board of Trustees. -Maintain a system for consumer evaluation of services provided. ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES: -Implement Strategic Plan of agency. -Act as marketing representative for agency. -Serve as facilitator of Management Team. -Other duties as assigned by Board of Trustees to ensure quality services to the clients of DVP and to the community. PROGRAM EVALUATORPart time position to work in behavioral healthcare organization. Evidence of strong evaluation skills with an understanding of both quantitative, qualitative and mixed methods in evaluation. Coordinate evaluation activities including supervision of data collection, data analysis, and internal and external reporting. Excellent oral and written communication skills and ability to work well in teams. Requires an advanced degree in research, evaluation, psychology, sociology, social work or related field.
